Based on its values and working principles, ADRA Norway works in partnerships with various stakeholders, including ADRA organizations in the South. Our main implementing partners are ADRA in Peru, Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia, Myanmar, Thailand and Cambodia. As for emergencies, we coordinate closely with the ADRA network, and involve where the need is greatest. We use Sphere as a standard in all our emergency management work.
For both development and emergency work ADRA closely coordinates its work with local government, UN and other relevant parties. ADRA Norway is committed to strengthening the competence and the capacity of the local ADRA staff, and supports their efforts of working through multiple stakeholders to strengthen the civil society. Further, ADRA Norway strives to contribute to the strengthening of Norwegian Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and others.
Working with partners is central to the ADRA Norway approach. This include partnership with ADRA organizations in the network, but also active partnering with other stakeholders such as peer organizations in Norway and internationally, and government and decisionmakers at all levels. In addition to private donations, ADRA Norway also receives funding from Norad and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
